Baud Rates

The following table lists the standard baud rates for Serial port instruments. Use di_open to set the Baud Rate of your instrument.

Note: Some instruments use a virtual COM port even though they have an alternate connection. Models DI-145, DI-148, DI-149, DI-155, DI-158, DI-245, and DI-71x USB devices all use a Virtual COM port.

DI-710 USB devices, DI-715B USB devices, and DI-718B USB devices	38400 (default), 115200*

*Setting a high baud rate may cause the instrument to freeze up depending on your PC resources. If your instrument freezes you must unplug the device from the PC. When the device is unplugged, the baud rate automatically reverts to the default baud rate.
